Privacy notice

Last updated 8 June 2026

This notice explains how Vett collects, uses, and protects your personal data when you apply to our waitlist or use our service. Please read it before you apply.

Who we are

Vett is operated by Oshylabs Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 16883720), registered office 100 St Pier Court, 549 Green Street, London E13 9GU. We are the data controller for the information you provide. Our data protection contact is arnold.oshenye@oshylabs.eu. We are registered with the UK Information Commissioner's Office under reference C1892619.

What we collect

When you apply, we collect the information you choose to give us: your name, age, gender, the kind of relationship you are looking for, your city, your email address, and your free text answers about yourself and your readiness. We also record that you gave consent, and when.

Sensitive information. Details about the relationship you are seeking can reveal information about your sexual orientation, which is a special category of data under Article 9 of the GDPR. We only process this on the basis of your explicit consent, and only to consider and arrange introductions. We never try to infer or guess your orientation. We use only what you tell us.

Why we use it and our legal basis

We use your information solely to review your application and, if there is a fit, to consider and arrange a personal introduction. Our legal basis is your consent under Article 6(1)(a), and your explicit consent under Article 9(2)(a) for the sensitive elements. You can withdraw consent at any time, which does not affect processing already carried out.

Who can see it

Your application is read by a human at Vett. We do not sell your data and we do not share it for advertising. We use a small number of trusted service providers who process data on our behalf under contract: Supabase for secure database hosting, Resend for sending email, and Vercel for website hosting. Where any provider processes data outside the EEA or UK, appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses apply.

How long we keep it

We keep your application while you are on the waitlist or a member. If you ask us to delete it, or you are not a fit and ask us to remove you, we delete your personal data promptly, subject to any record we must keep by law.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access your data, correct it, have it erased, restrict or object to its use, receive a copy in a portable form, and withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any of these, email arnold.oshenye@oshylabs.eu and we will respond within one month.

If you believe we have mishandled your data, you can complain to a supervisory authority. In Sweden this is the Integritetsskyddsmyndigheten (IMY), and in the UK the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).

Cookies

This site does not use tracking or advertising cookies. It collects only what you type into the application form.

If we change this notice we will update the date above and, where the change is significant, let applicants know by email.
